The Advocates

Director & Founder

Troy Daly

I’m a husband, a dad, a property investor, and someone who genuinely believes in the power of real estate to change lives. Not in a flashy or overnight success kind of way, but in the steady, achievable, life-improving way that creates security, options, and opportunities for everyday families.

At 21, I bought my first investment with my wife. By 25, We had built a portfolio we are proud of and still growing it today. None of it came from shortcuts or luck. It came from learning the market, staying patient, and backing myself even when the path wasn’t clear. Through that process I realised something important: if I could do it, so could other people like me.

That is why I founded Daly Advocate.

I want parents, young couples, and hardworking families to know that property is possible. You do not need a $40 million portfolio to create a meaningful future. Sometimes one or two smart, well timed decisions can set you up with passive income, help your kids and grandkids, or give you the capital to buy your dream family home. It is about clarity, confidence, and using time to your advantage, not chasing unrealistic numbers.

Over the years, I have developed a sharp eye for growth, value, and opportunity in the Australian property market. Working alongside some of the most respected professionals in the industry taught me how to negotiate strongly, analyse markets deeply, and buy strategically. Today, those skills allow me to uncover opportunities, often before they hit the public market, and help clients make decisions that feel informed, intentional, and right for their family’s future.

But above everything else, I am here because I care. I care about the dad who wants to give his kids a better start. The mum who dreams of time freedom. The couple trying to break into the market for the first time. The family building something secure and lasting.

If I can help even one more family experience what property has done for me, then this work is worth every moment.

Welcome to Daly Advocate. Let us build something meaningful together.

Buyers Advocate Associate

Nick Townsend

Nick entered the world of property at 21, driven by a genuine curiosity about how markets work and how everyday people can use property to create long term opportunities. By 22 he had purchased his first investment property, taking the same disciplined and strategic approach he now brings to helping clients at Daly Advocate.

With a degree in Economics, Nick naturally gravitates toward understanding the bigger picture behind property decisions. This includes market trends, financial fundamentals, and the long term outcomes that smart buying can create.

What stands out most about Nick, however, is his mindset. He is incredibly diligent and disciplined in everything he does. If he does not know something, he will take the time to learn it properly. If he encounters a challenge, he works through it until he finds the solution. And if he is unsure, he asks questions, which reflects the curiosity and humility that make him such a valuable part of the team.

Nick brings a calm and thoughtful approach to the business and shares the same belief that property should be about creating genuine opportunity for families, not chasing hype.

Outside of property, Nick is a passionate Brisbane Lions supporter, enjoys spending time at the beach, and has a serious appreciation for cars.

At Daly Advocate, Nick plays a significant role in sourcing and uncovering opportunities for clients. He spends a large amount of time liaising with agents, building relationships across the market, and gaining access to off market properties that clients may never otherwise see. That access is a core focus of Daly Advocate and a big part of the value we provide.

Alongside this, Nick is actively involved in the research, analysis, and behind the scenes work that goes into identifying the right opportunities for clients. His ability to combine strong agent relationships with disciplined research makes him a key pillar in the process of finding, assessing, and securing the right properties.
